Resilience is at the core of Michelle Evans’ campaign for Woodinville City Council, as she is bulldozing through the political noise to get things done for her community. A 17-year resident, Evans began serving on the Council in 2021, since then serving on the Eastrail Regional Advisory Council, as a board member for the Woodinville Arts Alliance, and as the liaison to the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce.
She helped champion the City’s first-ever Economic Development Plan — which she is now set on fully implementing — as well the jurisdiction’s first Multi-Family Tax Exemption (MFTE) program.
She knows that a strong public safety system includes effective policing and the right resources for the right situations, which is why helped bring CORE Connect to the City. She knows that housing development is lagging, so she supports innovative, pragmatic housing policies that won’t increase costs.
And, she knows that supporting economic growth means building an ecosystem where businesses of ALL sizes can succeed, so she has her eyes set on strategic rezoning and infrastructure investments that will benefit the region as a whole.
If re-elected, Michelle is dedicated to retaining an open line of communication with the business community, and is in early discussions with these leaders about establishing a Business Improvement Area to fund a free community connector modeled after Bellevue’s BellHop service.
Michelle believes “Woodinville deserves a leader who finishes the job,” and honestly, so do we.
