Ed Prince

Renton

Position: 5

Now running for his fourth term on Renton City Council, Ed has a unique perspective when it comes to regional issues. He values investment in public safety and believes that systemic problems never stop for borders, so as a result, a collective approach for addressing homelessness, missing middle housing, and the opioid crisis is necessary.

Ed has been endorsed by both the Seattle/King County Realtors group and the Affordable Housing Council, a testament to his ability to work across the aisle and across his jurisdiction. He is known to frequently ring up his residents to chat through the complex issues impacting their livelihoods, and his list of accomplishments and volunteer work speaks for itself.

On a day-to-day basis, Ed works as Executive Director of the Washington State Commission on African American Affairs, and also sits on the Board of Directors for Sound Transit, is co-chair of the King County Regional Homeless Authority, and Vice-Chair of the Growth Management Policy Board. For these reasons and others not mentioned, the EBA proudly endorses Ed.
