With a tenured career as an actuary focusing on forecasting, quantifying, and mitigating future financial risks for some of the largest financial services firms in the world, Craig understands the financial headwinds and opportunities facing Mercer Island.
After two years on the Planning Commission and four years on the City Council, he has gained a deep understanding of the critical land use, transportation, and climate action issues affecting the jurisdiction. This variety of experience will be vital as Mercer Island prepares for housing growth, the opening of light rail, and the implementation of their successful 16-year Parks Levy in his next term.
Through his public service thus far, Craig has demonstrated, time and time again, his commitment to respectful communication, effective preparation, pragmatic decision making, responsible financial management, and visionary leadership on tough issues. He has the skills, but more importantly, the mindset Mercer Island residents and regional leaders need for the next four years.
