Claire Sumadiwirya is a small business owner, community advocate, and proven collaborator who understands the intersection of economic growth and community well-being. As the founder of Bellden Café, Bellevue’s first mission-driven café, she has created jobs, partnered with more than 30 local nonprofits, and built a welcoming space that strengthens the city’s social and economic fabric. Her leadership has earned widespread recognition, including Most Philanthropic Company by 425 Business Magazine, Family-Owned Business Honoree by the Puget Sound Business Journal, and Bellevue’s Business of the Year by Visit Bellevue.

Claire has also served in key regional leadership roles, including on the King County Immigrant and Refugee Commission and the Open Space Equity Cabinet, where she worked to advance equitable policies that support underserved communities. She helped shape the King County Strategic Climate Action Plan and serves on the Overlake Medical Center Foundation and Bellevue Schools Foundation boards, demonstrating her commitment to improving quality of life and future workforce readiness.
