Sam Cho is the youngest Commission President since the founding of the Port in 1911, and since being elected to the commission in 2019, he has prioritized economic opportunity, environmental sustainability, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Sam is dedicated to strengthening the business community on the Eastside not only through his verbal commitments, but his involvement with organizations like the Greater Seattle Partners Economic Recovery Committee, Washington Council on International Trade, Washington State China Relations Executive Board Member, and many others.

Prior to becoming the Port Commissioner, Sam was the Founder and CEO of Seven Seas Export — an international trading company — so he is no stranger to being a business owner. With his additional experience working in Congress, Sam brings the rare package of both public and private sector expertise that make him tailored to serve as the Port Commissioner. Sam’s powerful, youthful, and driven mentality has and will continue to serve the Port Commission well.
