As a long-term resident and former City Councilmember, Randy understands the issues facing Renton and the Greater Eastside. During his 28 previous years on the council, Randy tackled many complicated city issues including land use, transportation, and municipal budgeting. Randy consistently offered a well-balanced perspective and a reasoned voice on the many council committees he chaired, regional forums he participated in, and during his service as Council President for six years.

Randy’s priorities for Renton in the coming years include enhancing public safety, supporting homeless prevention, and revitalizing the downtown retail district post-COVID so that Renton is a welcoming community for all. With his professional experience as a Boeing Company engineer and manager before his recent retirement, Randy’s government and private sector perspective will be a welcome, trusted voice for the next Renton Council.
