As a lifelong Rentonite, Mayor Pavone ran for city council in 2013 and then mayor in 2019. His commitment to the city’s economic growth can be seen in his commitment to small businesses like his and his wife’s, Melrose Grill in downtown Renton. Most clearly, he has sought to create a center of opportunity in Renton where businesses can thrive by alleviating congestion and securing the local infrastructure.
In his recent State of the City speech, Mayor Pavone highlighted his support for planned growth and economic vitality for the City of Renton, with his priorities including housing affordability, homelessness, and public safety.
Mayor Pavone has helped facilitate the development of over 8,000 housing units in the pipeline, as well as implementing the accessory dwelling unit program. Additionally, we have seen his efforts to complete the extensive public works utilities project downtown, ultimately stimulating local business development and job growth.
Acknowledging these efforts, the EBA is endorsing Incumbent Armondo Pavone for re-election so he can continue his work creating a vibrant and successful business community.
